Let Us Pray

Yesterday we took Micah to the doctor for his four week checkup. Everything went great and he is in perfect health. Nate got a flu shot while we were there and since he was such a big boy about it (he didn't even cry) we took him to McDonald's for lunch. I ordered the food while Krista got the boys situated at a table. When I arrived with the food. Micah started screaming at the top of his lungs while Nathan was trying to grab his Happy Meal box off the tray. We hurriedly tried to get both of them sorted out. We gave Micah a bottle and spread Nate's food out in front of him so we could eat. As we were finishing up our meal Nate grabbed Krista's and my hand and said pray. I was both embarrassed and proud in the same moment. In all of the distraction of getting the meal set up and the baby calmed down it had totally slipped my mind. I'm thankful that, even at such a young age, it did not slip Nathan's impressionable mind. Proverbs 22:6 immediately comes to mind. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Have a great day!

Danny
