New Guestbook

I just wanted to let you know that we've added a new guest book to our A-TEAM website. You can view it here. We have also added pictures of Micah to our family website if you have not yet seen him. They are located here. We think he is precious, no matter how much sleep he deprives us of. When we first brought him home, Krista and I were trading out sleeping on the couch every other night, because Micah sleeps in the living room since it is the warmest room in the house. Now we do a split shift every night. I go to sleep with Nate around 9 PM and sleep till 3 AM then Krista wakes me up and I go to the couch and she gets the bed. It is not the most ideal way to get a good nights sleep but you do what you have to do. Anyway, besides being a little tired, we are all doing good. Nate is really starting to warm up to Micah which is really neat to see. I'm sure it only gets more exciting from here. Have a great one!

Devotion

I read 2 Samuel 22:47 the other day and just reading those words and the power and excitement they hold made me read the rest of the chapter and I could just feel David's conviction of what he was writing. Wow! Our God is all powerful and only does what is best for us on HIS timetable. I can call on HIM anytime of the day for ANYTHING and He will answer me...but I must remember it is what HE thinks is best and when HE thinks it's best and that may mean not the answer I was looking for. I tend to call on God when things aren't quite going my way and I hit panic mode. But I need to be thankful for those times too, they help me become more what God wants me to be, those hard times are molding me. I also need to remember to be thankful for just the everyday blessings. Waking up to a loving husband, 2 beautiful, healthy boys, a roof over my head, food in my cabinets, family that I know are praying for me daily, phone calls just when I needed to hear a friends voice, just anything that I'm given and don't deserve. Being a parent now I am learning and trying to be better at remembering to thank God for things, whether things are going good or bad at the moment. I love it when Nathan says, "Thanks" without any promting from me or Danny. It just melts my heart to hear him ask for something and then hear "Tanks" (thanks)... it came from his heart. He wanted to say it. How God must feel when I, as one of His children, stop and say, "Tanks".

“The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation!

We're All Home

Krista and Micah were released from the hospital this afternoon. They are both doing great according to the doctor. It is a very nice feeling to have all four of us at home. I'm sure this will be an interesting week, especially with Nate as he adjust to having a baby brother in the house. It is a very exciting time for us. Have a great day.

Still Doing Well

Just a quick update to let you know that we are still doing well. Krista did not get much sleep last Thursday night so I stayed over with her last night. Before you give me to much credit, I must say that it wasn't that bad. They brought in a normal twin bed for me to sleep on, so I slept like a baby (actually better because I didn't wake up hungry in the middle of the night - ha ha). Also, we decided to let the nurses take Micah to the nursery for the night (He stayed in the room the first night). If you don't ask them to take the baby they will leave him with the mother all the time, which is totally opposite from what we are used to in the US. I will spend the night at the hospital tonight as well and then, hopefully, bring everybody home tomorrow. That is actually two days earlier than what is normal at this hospital but I think it will be much easier on all four of us to be at home. We will keep you updated and also post more pictures soon, so check back often. Have a great Sunday!

He's Here!

Well everything went well with Krista's delivery yesterday. Micah Daniel was born at 3:18 PM. He was 20 inches long and weighed 7.5 pounds. Mama and baby are both healthy and doing well. Below are a few pictures. Have a great day.

Inducing

We finally have something concrete to tell you. I am going in on Thursday (tomorrow) to be induced. Everything is fine, but if this little boy were not to come soon then everything might not be fine for me or him. My BP was not bad, but it is rising and I was induced with Nathan because of very high BP. My 'fluid' is almost gone too and for now that's ok, but he won't last long without it so all signs say we need to give him a little help in moving out! So hopefully we'll have news for you sometime tomorrow and maybe pics.. well, Danny should have news, I'll be out for the rest of the week I'm sure. Have a great week and please remember ALL of us in prayer.

By Wednesday

Ok, finally some news that sounds more promising than anything we've heard in weeks! I had an appointment today and my Dr. said that she was expecting to see this baby... TODAY! Well, considering we have 2 hrs. left in "today" I'm not so sure because I've felt pretty much the same as I have all week. The Dr. did say that if the baby didn't come by Wednesday she'd probably induce me because I'm so ready and I'm guessing from what I've read that if I'm that ready and things aren't happening any faster it might not be all that good for me or baby. But that's my uneducated guess, haha! Now it's taken me awhile to write this between getting Nathan down and some contractions. Who knows? It just might happen tonight afterall :)

We'll keep you posted and/or hope to be able to post pictures of our new son the next time we write!

Nothing much going on...

Ok... do you think I'm ready to have this kiddo?!?! I feel the way I look, hahaha! Then of course, how about my handsome little boy? You know he's got a mom who takes pictures because he's so cooperative, ha! I personally am taking it easy this week, Danny has been working his fingers to the bone in his office. Have a great day!!!!

Maybe??

Well, last night I had some major contractions! I was not feeling well at all. But then this morning, all is calm. Man! I hate the suspense of the "when and where?". Yesterday, I spent the day with Melinda & Emily and we baked and baked and baked. We made apple pies, quite a few batches of cookies, and apple butter... all from scratch! It was alot of fun... and work. We'll keep you posted on the hopefully soon arrival of our little boy!

Dr. appointment

Today at 12 noon I have an appt. and I'm praying she'll send us to the hospital. I'm so tired of being pregnant! I have a feeling though this isn't going to be my day :( My baby shower on Saturday was great! There were friends from the church we had attended the last 2 years, the A-team girls, and a neighbor of the Browns I've become friends with as well. My friends from school were out of town. We played games and had a good time seeing the cultures collide in some of our answers! haha! I'm thankful for friends who wanted to celebrate the upcoming birth of our son. What a blessing! I'll write a follow up later today on our appointment... if possible :)

Krista

Ok, I went and nothing new. I was quite sad. I'm still "on my way", just not today.
