Home

I'm thrilled to be writing to you from MY living room!!!! We arrived safely in Graz yesterday. The boys traveled quite well considering the uproar they've had for the last 3 months. Nathan was so excited about seeing our house, his toys & room.... both boys have played non-stop (aside from just crashing into sleep mid-play) and you can tell they are enjoying themselves.

While state-side we had a wonderful time with our families and getting to know the new sisters & brothers-in-laws. Our church family is awesome and blessed us beyond belief. We miss them and are so glad to know that they love us and support us all the way! Thanksgiving was a special time as we spent it with my family and had a little bit of Christmas too. A few days later we spent time with Danny's extended family. We don't see either side often enough and it was nice to end our furlough with family.

I've already spoken to a few friends and they've missed us and are looking forward to getting back to our routine of seeing each other. Pray for us as we also reach out to some of our friends who are in need of our great God.

Thanks for praying and the encouragement. Today we went by the visa office and were given some not so great news, but God has it all in control. Sooo, we'll let you know when we know more about it all ourselves. It's going to be very exciting to see how God works this all out.

Be Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends and family! We hope you are having a great day wherever you may be. We are spending the day with my family (Krista) and on Saturday we'll spend with Danny's side. It's been a long and prosperous 3 months, now we are ready to head home to Austria and we'll be doing that on Tuesday. Thanks for all the encouragement we've received from so many of you!

God is good!!

He's fine!

The surgery went well. We made it home and Micah did ok with the drive. It's going to take some time to heal. The Dr. and nurses were so kind to him. Nathan went to school today and then came up to the hospital afterward and visited with him... he was concerned about his brother. We'll just have to make sure they don't wrestle around to much for the next few days ;)

Here are the costumes the boys wore for October 31st. Aren't they cute? It was their first Fall Festival and Nathan really really enjoyed it and said that we needed to go and get "all the candy everywhere!!!" haha! Obviously, that was the last thing he needed. I threw in a picture of the beautiful leaves changing in Missouri. These are my brother's neighbors trees. All the trees were beginning to change and just breath taking! I can't wait for winter!!!

Prayer

Today, Micah will be having a minor surgery that he wasn't able to have at birth in Austria. Please pray for quick healing and that it won't be too uncomfortable for him in the next few days. Thanks!

Catch-up

Ok, I know we seem to have fallen off the face of the earth but I can't really begin to tell you how busy we've been! I don't want to really explain because it'll make my head hurt ;) I will share some pics of the last few weeks.

Yup, that's me grillin' burgers. Those were the some of the best tasting burgers.... ok, enough bragging! haha

Me & Mom

Jenn, an old college friend with her Micah and my Micah in Colorado. It's so awesome to reconnect with people even if only for a night.

We were able to have lunch with friends that live in France now... but also old college friends. The funny thing about our families are all the similarities. It's actually pretty scary at times--from birthdays (Micah and Aliyah are 5 hrs. apart--originally scheduled to be 1 week apart), interests, some family stuff, hair styles, and now after reading her blog .... our oldest chose the same theme for October 31st! This is getting weird, Amy ;)

We stayed with a great family-Larry & Vicki- for a conference in Missouri and we had a hayride, bonfire, 4-wheelin', and just a great time. Thanks guys!!!

Also, at the conference in Missouri the church's theme was "World Serious" it turned out that the World Series started that night as well. They had 'Slugger' come and sign autographs and the man behind the mask gave a great testimony of how God has blessed his family. It was a fun conference and a blessing to us.

I'll put some pics up of the boys and their costumes later. Hope this gives you a glimpse of our travels. Did you catch that we were in Colorado & Missouri... and I didn't mention but also New Mexico, Wyoming, and our home base--Texas. We've done a lot of traveling and we can NOT wait to get HOME to Austria. We've been blessed beyong belief and have enjoyed seeing God provide our needs. He's so good!

Micah's 1st Birthday

It's taken me a bit, sorry! I still wanted to write something about my no-longer-a-baby,Baby! Oh how this past year has flown by. It's been so great to see God shape our family as a family of 4 this year. Micah has been a fantastic addition....it's funny how when we brought him home Micah seemed like the 'odd man out'. Now we can't imagine life without either of our boys! How did we ever function without Nathan or Micah?!?! Children truly are a blessing from the Lord and we are ever thankful to Him for entrusting us with these gifts.

Happy Birthday, Micah!!!!
