Blowing off some dust...

There's something about the Fall weather that gets me in the mood to read. Maybe it's the cooler weather and the coziness of a blanket while sitting in my recliner and enjoying some coffee or hot cocoa. So I've been going thru my bookshelf and I want to go back and re-read some of my favorite books. The first one on the list is: Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. It's based on the book of Hosea in the Bible. What an awesome illustration of the way God loves us.... no matter how many times we stray. I've got a few more books by F. Rivers that I really enjoy and then there's Bodie & Brock Thoene in the Zion Covenant, my collection of Robert Frost poetry, and some John Piper books that have peaked my interest from Danny's bookshelves. I've recently read a few Nicholas Sparks books and thought they were good. I don't want to read any of the ones that were turned into movies though. If I've read a book first or seen the movie first the other one, whether it be the book or movie just doesn't seem as good. There are a few parenting books I have read or partially read.... Shepherding A Child's Heart by Ted Tripp is actually one I'm in the middle of and really like. So what are some books that you read and enjoy?
